William G. "Bill" Kanzig, age 72, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 4:48 PM at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born on April 7, 1948 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Floyd A. and Freda (Yeazel) Kanzig.  On October 25, 1966 he married Marlita F. Frederick and she survives in Ada.

Bill retired from Ohio Northern University where he worked as a machinist technician at the College of Engineering.  He worked as a part time bus driver at the university.  He drove bus for the Ohio Northern University Habitat for Humanity for sixteen years.  Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran who served from February 14, 1968 to February 13, 1970.

Also surviving is his son, Robert Kanzig of Ada; a daughter, SheaLea (James) Lockschmidt of North Lewisburg; three grandchildren; a brother, Gene Kanzig of Alabama; and three sisters: Harriet Whittaker of Kenton, Karen Longstreth of Lakeview and Nancy Wendle of Kenton.

There will be no service. It was Bill's wish to be cremated.
