Sam D. Nixon, age 51, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on September 20, 1970, in Lima, Ohio to the late Leo R. and Alice M. (Avery) Nixon.

Sam is survived by a fiancé, Diana Schroeder of Lima; a brother, Walter (Penny) Nixon of Hamilton; and a sister, Retta (Tony) Spencer of Alger.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Thomas.

Sam previously worked as a parts salesman for Stoops Freightliner.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
