Roy V. Rogers, age 74, of Lima, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Springview Manor, Lima.

On July 9, 1950 in Rochester, New York, Roy was born to Newton E. and Marjorie (Lewis) Rogers.  Roy married Rita J. Merriman on November 19, 1978 and she survives in Lima.

Also surviving are their six children: Jim (Janita) Rogers of East Rochester, NY, Pauline (David) Frank of Ontario, NY, Annie (Marc Butler) Rogers of LaFayette, Marjorie (Aaron) King of Lima, Sandy (Tye) Parker of Lima and Tony (Faith) Rogers of Lima; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, William "Billy" Brown; and several brothers and sisters.

Roy retired from Allen East Schools, where he worked as a custodian.  He was a former member of the Moose Lodge of Lima and the American Legion of Lima.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Shalom Ministries, 144 N. Phillips Road, Harrod, Ohio 45850.

A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the church.
