Ronald E. "Ron" Hackworth, age 78, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 8:03 PM at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born on May 14, 1942 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Maynard and Rushie (Wright) Hackworth.  On October 1, 1966 Ron married Mary F. Smith who survives in Ada.

Also surviving is a son, Todd (Nicole) Hackworth of Dunkirk; two daughters: Michelle (Keith) Vossberg of Tampa, FL and Erin Swick of Ada; four grandchildren: Casey, Morgan, Gabbi and Garrett; and a sister, Donna Guyton of Ada.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Hackworth; and a brother, Spunk Hackworth.

Ron retired from Whirlpool Corporation.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.  Ron was a member of the Colonial Hills Golf Club.

Attendance will be restricted at the visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements.  Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.

It was Ron's wish to be cremated.  Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
