Obituary

Patricia (Ritchie) Wetmore, age 85, went home to our Lord on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Vancrest of Delphos, surrounded by love and peace.

Pat was born on November 6, 1940 in Ada, Ohio to Ralph and Gladys (Gullett) Barnett. On October 9, 1982, she married the love of her life William Wetmore who preceded her in death in 2022. She met him in Heaven on the day of what would have been their 44th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, all of whom love her dearly and will miss her always: Cindy (Augustine) Tuma of Lima, Wanda (Dan) Murphy and Becky (Reed) Nutt of Delphos, and her only granddaughter and grandson-in-law: Libby (Shawn) Nutt of Valparaiso, IN. Libby and her great-grandchildren were her heart. She will be greatly missed by Alli (Sierra) Diller of Westfield, IN, Zaylin Nutt of Dephos, Casey Nutt and Sophia Nutt of Valparaiso, IN. She also leaves loving nieces and nephews: Sheila (Larry) Grappy of Kenton, Pam (Dan) Robinson of Mt. Victory, Kim Albright of Kenton and Tim (Jolene) Joseph of Mason. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law: George (Jill) Wetmore of Troy and Rick (Jean) Wetmore of Lima; sister-in-law, Kathy (Scott) Kramer of Ada; and stepson, William Wetmore, Jr. of Hebron.

Also, preceding Pat in death is her brother and sister-in-law: Gene and Mary Barnett; her sister and brother-in-law: Shirley and Joe Blosser; and three nephews: Randy Joseph, Steve Joseph and Rick Barnett. Her sister, Shirley, left this earthly life two months ago, and Pat missed her beyond words. We are comforted to know that she is reunited with her Bill and her dear family. It is a joyous moment in the Heavens for them all.

In her childhood, Patty and her family worked in the fields of the McGuffey marsh, and she was later employed as a nurse’s aide in Kenton, a job she truly loved. She was then able to raise her three daughters as a single parent, being blessed to work for Proctor & Gamble Manufacturing Co. in Lima for over 25 years. She was raised at Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger, and attended there for several years into her adulthood. She was also a past member of South Side Christian Church, Lima and Ada Full Gospel. She ended her earthly church affiliation with The Church at Allentown.

Pat loved Jesus, her family and her friends (whom she easily and quickly made). She was a loving wife, mother and friend, and was known to do little, quiet, thoughtful things for people throughout her life to show them that they were loved, thought about and cared for. She will be deeply, deeply missed.

Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Neal Whitney and Hunter Joseph officiating. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Thursday, October 15th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.

The family wishes to express their love and appreciation for the staff in the AL, rehab and nursing units of Vancrest of Delphos, many of whom became her family.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Lima Rescue Mission and/or Vancrest of Delphos Assisted Living Activities Department.
