Milan Dean Searfoss, age 88, of Harrod, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 5:35 PM at his residence, surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 16, 1934, in Harrod, Ohio to the late Don and Elizabeth "Betty" (Hay) Searfoss.  On September 11, 1955, Dean married Dolores Basil and she survives in Harrod.

Dean is also survived by his three children: Becky (Gary) Werling of Harrod, Ryan (Teresa) Searfoss of Harrod, and Bob (Kathy) Searfoss of West Chester; two grandchildren: Chad Werling, and Nick (Morgan) Searfoss; four great grandchildren: Charlotte, Beckham, Calvin and Hudson Searfoss; and five siblings: Carol (Bob) Foulkes, Ruth Ann (Lynn) Huffman, Sue (Monte) Retz, Jane (Don) Guy, and Roger (Annette-dec.) Searfoss; and a brother-in-law, Lynn McDougle.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Searfoss; and two sisters: Alice (Derrol) King and Wilma McDougle.

Dean was a lifelong farmer and also operated a partnership with his son, Ryan.  He attended the County Line Church, Harrod. He was a member of the Farm Bureau.  Dean was a U.S. Army veteran.  Dean enjoyed spending time with his family.

Memorial services will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Thomas Dearth officiating.  Inurnment will take place at a later date in Salem Cemetery, Westminister.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Health Professionals of Ada- Hospice and/or St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
