Mary Ellen Hale, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 10:52 PM at Lima Memorial Health System.

She was born on July 6, 1955 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Bob and Willow Dean (Hennings) Phipps.   On January 2, 1988 Mary married Doyal Hale and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2006.

Mary attended church, she loved to crochet.  She enjoyed sending "Good Morning" texts and messages to everyone on her list.

She is survived by her four children: Cann "Casey" Phipps, James "J.R." Phipps, Angie (Kevin) Hunt and Christopher (Rita) Hale; seven grandchildren: Sean, Justin, Kadin, Camrin, Khloe, Matt and Whitney; and a brother, Donnie (Robin) Martin.

Mary was preceded in death by her four brothers, a sister and two grandchildren: Tara and Natasha.

It was Mary's wish to be cremated.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
