Mary I. Cunningham, age 92, passed peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 2:25 PM at her residence in Shaker Heights, surrounded by her daughter and nurse.

She was born on March 25, 1928 in Lima, Ohio to the late Ralph D. and Mabel A. (Mushaw) Cunningham.  Mary was a lifelong resident of Cleveland.  Mary was first married to Eugene Harsh and he preceded her in death.  They are survived by their daughter, Linda (Antonio) Harsh Gonzalez of Shaker Heights.   She then married the late Simon T. Williams and he also preceded her in death.

Mary was a elementary teacher for thirty-six years for the East Cleveland School District.  She received much joy in sharing the gift of reading with children.  Mary was a 1949 graduate of Ohio Northern University, Ada where she received her bachelor's degree in education. Kind and compassionate with a quick wit and the gift of a great sense of humor, Mary has left her impression on many hearts.

Also surviving is a dear first cousin: Patricia Cameron of Toledo; and three step sons: Simon Williams, Richard Williams and Daarwyn Williams.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date with burial in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
