Marcene Jane Pope, age 79 of Paragould, Arkansas passed away at 8:56 AM on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

She was born on January 5, 1941 in Bluffton, Ohio to Oscar and Vera (Herr) Zimmerman who preceded her in death.  Marcene married Joseph Pope on September 25, 1960 and they later divorced.

Marcene was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her cat "Boo Boo".  She was a graduate of Bluffton High School.

She is survived by three sons: Daniel Pope, Joseph "Joey" (Linda) Pope, Sr. both of Ada and John Pope of Gibsonton, FL; a daughter, Tammy (Bill) Downing of Findlay; five grandchildren: Joseph "Joe" (Heather) Pope, Jr., Justin (Nicole) Pope and Jordan (Beatrice) Pope all of Ada, Jarita (Sebastian) Moneer of Delphos, Anthony "AJ" Pope of Lima; fifteen great grandchildren; two sisters: Anna (Walter) Bergenthun of Newark and Arletta (Richard) Boop of Lima; and a special friend, Ramezon Jafari.

Marcene was preceded in death by her son, Kelly and great grandson, Enzo Moneer.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  It was her wish to be cremated.
