Loyd L. Ashbrook, age 81, died on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 2:51 PM at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on March 5, 1938 in Delaware, Ohio to the late John and Mabel (Stockwell) Ashbrook.  On December 3, 1970 Loyd married Thelma I. Little and she preceded him in death on November 2, 2007.

Loyd worked for the Ada Park.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served from 1954 to 1957.

Loyd is survived by his children: Lloyd F. Ashbrook Jr. of Ada, Carl L. Ashbrook of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Tina (William) McCrary of Green Bay, Wisconsin; two grandchildren: Richard Caskey and Kaydence McCrary; and a great grandson, Aydin Caskey.

Loyd was preceded in death by an infant son.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Ada Park Building, 600 South Simon Street, Ada, Ohio 45810.  An inurnment of ashes will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
