Karen Louise Smith, age 76, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 7:15 AM at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, Murfreesboro, TN.

She was born on May 18, 1946, in Hardin County, Ohio to the late Joe S. and Betty J. (Doersam) Plummer.  On September 5, 1967, Karen married Donald Smith and he survives in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Also surviving are two daughters: Regina (Randy) Maddox of Cumming, GA, and Rebecca (John) Mazujian of Tucson, AZ; two sons: Dustin (Meri-Leigh) Smith of Cumming, GA, and Klinton (April) Smith of Sierra Vista, AZ; six grandchildren: Abigail (Matthew) Renegar, Samuel (Courteney) Maddox, Adam Maddox, Nolan Smith, Lillian Smith, and Rhett Smith; her two sisters: Marie Bischoff, and Laura (Jeff) Buschur; and three brothers: Wayne (Irene) Plummer, Robert Plummer, and Joseph (Rose) Plummer.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Kouba; and a brother, Jeffrey Plummer.

Karen was a homemaker and loved her sweets, baking pies and cookies for family gatherings.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband Don, taking long walks, and working in her flower garden.  She was a lifelong subscriber to the Kenton Times and loved keeping in touch with her Ohio roots.  Karen enjoyed attending sporting events with Don, particularly watching her grandson play baseball.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Rev. Patrick Allen officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home in Ada.
