John E. Collins, Jr., age 71, died on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:55 PM at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

He was born on March 29, 1947 in Kenton, Ohio to the late John Ernest and Cecile Mae (Baughman) Collins, Sr.  He was previously married to Colette Ann (Bibler) Mata.

John retired as an air cargo clerk after 15 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodworking, sports, and watching his son at the rodeo.

John is survived by his children: Melissa (Michael) Taylor of McComb, Anjie (James) Adney of La Salle, MI and Joshua (Keri) Collins: ten grandchildren: Rebecca, Hunter Rose, Sarah, Blake, Johann, Lane, Remi, Roan, Ashley, and Cassie: a brother: Edward Collins of Ada; and two sisters: Patricia Collins of Findlay and Joyce LaRue of Benton Ridge.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Earl; four sisters: Betty, Ellen, Millie, and Carol; and a nephew: Timmy.

A graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at McElroy Cemetery with Pastor Trent Boedicker officiating.   Graveside military services will be performed by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
