Janet M. Zimmerman, age 83, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 5:00 AM at the Liberty Retirement Community, Lima.

She was born on December 1, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Samuel H. and Gertrude (Margis) Stephenson.  On May 5, 1973 Janet married Karl T. Zimmerman and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2008.

Janet worked as a Nurse's Aide at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.  And she formerly worked at Rinks Store in Lima, Ohio in the Sportswear Department.  She also worked at ONU in the Cafeteria.   Janet was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Cottrell of Lima; three daughters: Susan Cross Shouse, Cindy Cross, and Tracy Cross; and three step-children, Jonathan Zimmerman, Tammy Walters, and Robert Zimmerman.  Janet was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Madewell.

Private graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 with Deacon Michael J. Hood officiating at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Ada.
