Jackie L. "Jack" Jordan, age 69, died Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 3:15 AM at his residence outside of Alger.
He was born on February 14, 1950 in Kenton to Richard "Dick" and Margery (Canaan) Jordan. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Ada.. On May 10, 1991 Jack married Deanna Fry and she survives in Alger
Jack was a 1968 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1969 and served on the USS Suffolk County during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1975. He worked at Ford Motor Company, Lima Engine Plant, for nearly 39 years before retiring in 2007. He was a life member of the VFW Post #9381 serving as commander from 2008-2010. He was also a member of the Eagles Aeries #3615 of Lakeview. Jack was a father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend who was loved by so many. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
Also surviving are his 4 children: Michael "Shane" (Stephenie) Jordan of Kenton, Jaclyn (Joseph) Wireman of London, Jacob Sanders of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Joslyn (Ryan) Snyder of Alger; 2 sisters: Linda Jordan-Allen of Kenton and Kim (Jeff) Cole-Fitzgerald of Alger; 6 grandchildren: Alexis (Significant Other, Allen Shirk) Jordan, Aric (Significant Other, Brooke Snyder) Jordan-LaRue, Jennifer Jordan, Ashton Cowan, Rodd Jordan, and Riley Snyder; and several aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Braylen Snyder, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Dorothy Fry.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Pastor Dan Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in McDonald Fairview Cemetery, Kenton with graveside military rites performed by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
Friends may call three hours prior to the service, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.
