Harry A. Heise, age 85, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 6:22 AM at his residence, surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 26, 1935 in Athens, Michigan to the later Edgar and Pearl (Jones) Heise.   On August 18, 1962 Harry married Dianna Cordes of Alpena, Michigan and she survives in LaFayette.

Harry worked for Superior Coach for twenty-nine years.   He then worked for Allen East Schools as the maintenance and transportation supervisor, retiring in 1998 after working for eighteen years.  Harry then worked for thirteen years for Cardinal Bus Sales and Service.   He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served as the former Mayor of LaFayette.  Harry's biggest joy in life was his family and grandchildren.

Also surviving are his children: Perry (Kelly) Heise of Lima and Melissa (Companion, Rollie) Heise of Barrington, IL; three grandsons: Isaac (Becky) Heise, Harry Silverman, and Jack Silverman; a granddaughter, Kelsey (Cody) Long; two great grandchildren: Addilyn Rae and Ryleigh Kay; three brothers: George Heise, Ralph Heise and Bill Heise; and four sisters: Lois DeCamp, Mary Patrick, Ellen Holly and Cathy Brooks.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer M. Heise on August 17, 2019; a brother, Donald Heise; and a sister, Edna Pugh.

Private graveside services will be held at LaFayette Cemetery, LaFayette, with Rev. Patrick Allen officiating.    The funeral service for Harry will be live streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook Page beginning at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
