Duane L. Helms, Sr. , age 64 , passed away on Satur day, January 1 5 , 2022, at 9:25 PM at the Baptist Health, Louisville, KY .

He was born on December 13, 1957 , in Lima , Ohio to Victor and Patricia ( Binkley) Helms, who preceded him in death.

Duane is survived by his two children: Duane (Sarah) Helms, Jr. of Cox's Creek, KY and Misty (Wade) Fearing of North Carolina; six grandchildren; and a sister: Kaylene Evans of Ada .

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica Thor n ton; and two sisters: Theresa and Monica Helms.

Duane worked at Ford Motor Company, Lima.  He was an avid Harley-Davidson fan and loved to ride.

A funeral service will begin at 11 : 0 0 A M on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada . Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada . The family requests Harley-Davidson or casual attire for the service.
