Dorothy Marie Rayl, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 5:40 PM at Vancrest of Ada.

She was born on March 20, 1939 in Bluffton, Ohio to the late Lester and Kathryn (Morehead) Ackerman.   On June 15, 1957 Dorothy married Gerald Rayl who survives in Ada.

Dorothy is also survived by her two sons and daughter: Kevin (Karen) Rayl, Rodney (Wendy) Rayl and Rebecca Rayl all of Ada; and three grandchildren: Andrew Rayl, Jacob Rayl and Eli Esguerra.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Ackerman.

Dorothy put God first always, which enabled her to be a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  Dorothy always looked for ways she could help others.  She loved to play the piano and played for almost 70 years.

Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements.  Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.

Private family visitation and services will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Carlton Schooley and Don Reynolds officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.  The funeral service for Dorothy will be live streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook Page beginning at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
