David William Harshbarger, age 68, died on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 3:41 AM at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Bridge Hospice of Findlay.

He was born on April 14, 1951 in Findlay, Ohio to the late William and Audrey (Friddell) Harshbarger Jr.  On January 18, 1972 David married Kathleen Yoxsimer and she survives in Dunkirk.

David previously worked as a salesman for many years, for car and trailer dealerships.  He also worked for the Kenton Police Department in 1975.  David served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1971 during the Vietnam War and then served in the Army National Guard in 1974.  He loved fishing and hunting and enjoyed hunting mushrooms in the woods.  He especially loved spending time with his family and pets.

Also surviving is his step mother, Georgia Harshbarger of Ladylake, FL; a son, Michael (Carrie) Harshbarger of Findlay; two daughters: Valerie (Paul) Woessner of N. Baltimore and April (Scott) Feller of Arlington; six grandchildren: Owen Harshbarger, Alyssa Yoxtheimer, Logan Feller, Isaiah Feller, Madison Feller and Austin Woessner; a brother, Daniel (Serena) Harshbarger of Elizabeth City, NC; and a step brother, Richard Harshbarger of CA.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ethan Feller.

Memorial services will begin at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor Tom Gossel officiating.  It was David's wish to be cremated.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the funeral home.
