Christopher J. Smith, age 64, of Alger, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 at his residence.

He was born on December 27, 1961in Toledo, Ohio to Charles F. and Suzanne (Werner) Smith.

Christopher is survived by his son, Patrick Smith of Toledo; grandson, Micah West; and eight siblings: Peter (Karen) Smith, John Smith, Gordon Smith, Martin (Karen) Smith, Pam (Larry) Hanley, Steve (Deb) Smith, Suzi (John) Zychowicz and Amy (Jim) Mossing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Greg Smith and Jeff Smith.

Christopher worked as a painter.

It was his wish to be cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held on August 20, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Gesu Catholic Church, 2049 Parkside Blvd., Toledo, OH 43607.
