Brewie Moore, age 86, of Alger, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Cridersville Care Center.

He was born on June 29, 1939 in Wayland, Kentucky to the late Tom E. and Virgie (Mosley) Moore.  On December 31, 1993 Brewie married Margaret Campbell and she survives in Alger.  He was previously married to Viola Lamb.

Also surviving are his four children: Tom Moore of Marion, Diana (Dave) Higgins of New Albany, Lisa (Matt) Leonard of Newcomerstown and Jason Moore of Kenton; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a brother, Donald "Gene" Moore; and two sisters: Charlotte Bowling and Sharon (David) Davis.

Brewie was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brandy Sansotta; and four siblings: Shirley Prater, Lawrence "Edd" Moore, Charles Moore and Peggy Sue Moore.

Brewie retired from Tecumseh, Marion.  He then worked for Certified Oil as a manager. Brewie was a member of the Auglaize United Baptist Church, Harrod.  He enjoyed writing poetry and stories and reading his Bible.  Brewie was an avid fisherman and bowler.

Funeral Services will begin at  12:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Auglaize United Baptist Church, 11890 Harding Highway, Harrod, Ohio 45850 with Pastor Bill Prater officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Thursday, March 5th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Auglaize United Baptist Church, Harrod.
