Arlene U. Hopkins, age 90, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 11:47 PM at MediLodge of Yale in Yale, Michigan.

She was born in Fulton, New York on July 1, 1930 to the late Howard Leslie and Hilda U. (Mitchell) VanWie.  Arlene married Robert B. Weyer and they divorced.  She then married Paul J. Hopkins and they too divorced.

Arlene was a 911 Dispatcher for Hardin County retiring in 2003.  She also was a school    bus driver for the Upper Scioto Schools, retiring in 1993.  Arlene was a member of the McGuffey Church of Christ, McGuffey, Ohio.  She was a volunteer for the Alger EMS for 18 years.

She is survived by her two children: Benjamin (Beverly Setzer) Hopkins of Wapakoneta and Charlaine (Keith) Martin of Marlette, Michigan; four step children: Randy (Barbara) Hopkins of Belle Center, Rodney (Debbie) Hopkins of Uniopolis, Craig (Julie) Hopkins of Sidney and Regina Fisher of Wapakoneta; ten grandchildren, twelve step grandchildren, three great grandchildren and twenty-six step great grandchildren; and a half sister, Shirley Lakatos of Middle Village, NY.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Weyer; a son-in-law, Donald Engelhardt; a granddaughter, Bella Jean Hopkins; two brothers: Lyle V. Bunville and Leslie Worden; and a half sister, Jean Wiliczek.

Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements.  Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service.

Private family services will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with David Holbrook officiating.  Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.  The funeral service for Arlene will be live streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook Page beginning at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 27, 2021
