Alice Hicks, age 96, died Saturday, June 08, 2019 at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.

She was born on June 25, 1922 in Dock, Kentucky to the late Frank and Sinda (Slone) Johnson.  On October 14, 1937 Alice married Edgbert "EB" Hicks and he died February 3, 2010.

Alice was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Old Regular Baptist  Church "Family of Love Church" of Wyandot, Ohio.  She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill Grange.

Surviving are a son: James I. (Kathy) Hicks of Forest; two daughters: Goldie Scott of Forest and Rebie (James F.) Long of Alger; sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son: Edgbert Hicks, Jr.; two daughters: Trylbia VonStein and Sylvia Bailey; two grandchildren; and five brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with grandson, Alan Long officiating.  Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hardin Hills Health Center Activity Fund.
